NuAxis’ SMS is certified by Intertek to ISO/IEC ISO 20000-1:2011. This standard specifies requirements for the organization to plan, establish, implement, operate, monitor, review, maintain and improve an SMS. COVID Journey Map - Version 1.0

Journey of a Federal IT User in the Time of COVID

When the COVID-19 pandemic began, we challenged ourselves to “walk in the shoes of our federal users.” Under the leadership of Mieke Wagner and through a concerted effort of collecting information from our various service desk operations at the U.S. Department of the Interior and the U.S. Department of Labor, we developed the “Journey of a Federal IT User in the Time of COVID.” This journey map captures key moments, along with any associated building blocks, barriers, support mechanisms, emotional state, and solutions/opportunities. Through this map, we hope to help our teams (and all readers) identify actions that deliver better experiences. This is version 1.0 as we expect to continuously update, especially as the transition back to work unfolds. Leave a note below if you have a question or comment.

NuAxis Innovations Awarded USDA OCIO Client Experience Center (CEC) Tier 3 IT Service Desk Operations Contract

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Client Experience Center (CEC) awarded NuAxis Innovations a contract to provide Tier 3 IT Service Desk Operations. This contract is critical to CEC’s vision to “innovate, deliver, and service world-class IT products and services” and will be supported by NuAxis’ Resource Conservation Division.

NuAxis Innovations Appraised at CMMI Level 3 for Services

NuAxis Innovations announced a successful Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)® appraisal at Level 3 for Services. CMMI is a capability improvement framework that provides essential elements of effective processes to improve performance. An appraisal at Maturity Level 3 indicates the organization is performing at a “defined” level. At this level, processes are well characterized and understood, and are described in standards, procedures, tools, and methods.

The scope of the appraisal is NuAxis’ Enterprise Service Desk (ESD), and we are excited to bring enhanced cost savings, consistency, and process improvement through the CMMI framework. “I’m proud of our team for successfully achieving CMMI Level 3 for Services, an important milestone to continue providing our customers with the best service and support,” said Imran Akram {CEO}. Ali Qureshi joins NuAxis Innovations as Chief Operating Officer

In this role, Mr. Qureshi is responsible for executing NuAxis’ strategy for enabling high quality customer service delivery, ensuring the happiness of team members, and facilitating organic business development.

Mr. Qureshi brings a unique perspective to the company having been a Government senior executive for eight years, serving the U.S. House of Representatives, in addition to experience at large and mid-tier companies including Accenture and Booz Allen Hamilton. In total, Mr. Qureshi brings over two decades of experience assisting commercial and federal government clients in meeting their technology services needs through innovative solutions.

Mr. Qureshi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering from Wilkes University and an Executive Master’s Degree from the Wharton School and School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Pennsylvania. NuAxis Innovations awarded a $25 million BPA by Fish and Wildlife Service

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), an agency within the Department of Interior (DOI), selected NuAxis Innovations as one of the awardees for its $25M IT Services Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). The BPA supports multiple IT functions and furthers FWS’s mission of “working with others to conserve, protect, and enhance fish, wildlife, plants, and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people.” NuAxis was awarded all of the initial BPA task orders which provide helpdesk, network, data center, and application management services.

NuAxis Innovations wins the unrestricted HHS NGITS Operations BPA

In January 2018, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced NuAxis Innovations as an awardee of their $207M Next Generation IT Services (NGITS) – Operations Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA).

The NGITS program furthers the HHS Office of Information Technology Infrastructure and Operations (ITIO) objective of providing internal HHS customers with the IT infrastructure, equipment, and services needed to support their individual missions while servicing approximately 11,000+ HHS customers nationwide. NGITS allows ITIO increased flexibility to address new policies and emerging technologies and streamline service delivery to end users.
